Job Description:
Summary:
The Assistant Director of The Center for Early Learning is responsible for assisting the director in the day-to-day operations of the child care center, including the implementation of the goals and objectives of the center through the program to provide services to families of Ballad Health, and to supervise the day-to-day implementation of the child care programs.
Along with the Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for ensuring that Ballad policies are consistently observed, and for the development and implementation of appropriate departmental policies and procedures.
This position will serve as the receptionist as well as the Assistant Director and will be responsible for greeting children and parents daily.
Requirements:
The Assistant Director must be a graduate from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Early Childhood or related field in child development or education. A working knowledge of child development, early childhood education, health and safety, and administration is required for this position.
The Assistant Director should have worked in an early childhood environment for at least 2 years and have previous classroom teaching experience. Experience with supervising staff is preferred. Supervision skills could have been developed in other settings other than hospital and childcare centers. However, training and experience must be in the childcare industry.
