New Directions Education are recruiting for Welsh Speaking Teachers who would be able to cover various classes within Primary Schools across the following areas-
1. Neath Port Talbot
2. Swansea
3. Ammanford
4. Llanelli and Carmarthenshire
5. Pembrokeshire
We are experiencing a surge in demand. Positions can start immediately, and we can offer you work in as many schools as you wish. Successful applicants will be covering classes ranging from Nursery through to Year 6 but if you have a Key Stage preference, we will match you up as much as possible.
Due to the current climate, the nature of our work is quite fast paced with supply teachers required to cover last minute absences at times. We will also be able to offer you long term placements if this is of something of interest to you.
We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.
As a Welsh Speaking Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:
6. Have a good understanding of the Welsh language
7. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
8. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
9. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
10. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
11. Maintain discipline
12. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
13. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
14. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
15. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.

The schools are looking for versatile teachers who would be able to adapt to different classes when required. You will have access to outdoor learning spaces and full use of school resources. In the majority of classes, you will have Learning Support Staff to support with the delivery of lessons. During long term/regular placements you will also receive in house training with the schools and benefit from attending Inset and after school meetings.
