GENERAL DESCRIPTION This role is directly tied to the delivery of an exciting project at RAF Lossiemouth, providing full-time on-site support during routine business hours to the Airborne Early Warning & Control Mission Crew Trainer. You, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, will be the systems administration expert, responsible for maintaining the operating integrity and performance of the system and associated networks through preventative and corrective maintenance, whilst supporting the rest of the team to produce and maintain technical and project documentation. Your expertise may also be called on occasionally to support other PLEXSYS deployments and activities through training and consultation. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - System Monitoring - Performance Testing - Network Management - System troubleshooting and rectification - Domain, Policy and User Management - System and Data Security - System and Project Documentation - Provide customer support on the effective use of PLEXSYS and partner software - Support the team through attending routine customer meetings and system reviews - Provide IT and security expertise to other deployed systems and business activities - Support system design and review activities SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS The right candidate will be capable of operating autonomously as the IT expert for the system, with the ability to support other regional PLEXSYS activities and work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary on-site team and the customer. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate with extensive practical experience, initiative and outstanding communication skills.
