About the role As our Site Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our sites based at one of the following sites Clapton, Dartford, Barking and Grays, (however may be at any of our London site ), ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations. You will spearhead efforts to improve profitability while enhancing the experiences of both customers and colleagues. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operation of our bus services, ensuring customer needs are met and performance targets are achieved within budget. You will also take ownership of Health and Safety, while promoting our company values to foster an inclusive workplace that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. Your typical day will involve: Overseeing the implementation of the Company Health & Safety Policy and ensuring legal compliance through the Arriva HS&E Management System. Leading the site team to deliver excellent service that meets stakeholder needs. Building strong relationships with local businesses and authorities to understand and serve customer needs. Promoting Arriva's values, including Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and fostering high team performance. Collaborating with Trade Unions and staff to ensure smooth operations and service excellence. Driving continuous improvement through reviewing networks, customer feedback, and financial performance. Helping shapes the site’s budget and business plan, controlling costs, and boosting revenue. Encouraging innovation, team empowerment, and decision -making to push the business forward. Sharing best practices across UK Bus sites and supporting Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. You will be required to become the Transport Manager on the Operator's Licence for the garage you will be responsible for. (full support provided) About you Your experience is likely to originate from the following: A fast-paced, customer-focused environments where you were managing multiple sites while taking charge of profits and losses, helping to boost revenue and control costs. You led and developed large teams across different locations while building good relationships with Unions. You could have worked in the Operations department across various industries, including public transport, logistics and supply chain, aviation, and facilities management.
