This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus alternate weekends, with opportunities to move onto a guaranteed hours contract upon successfully passing your probation period. Bluebird Care Ringwood provides support to our customers to live as independently as possible within the comfort of their own homes. We work in the areas of Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Burley, Poulner and local surrounding areas areas. We will support our customers will all aspects of daily living, from supporting with personal hygiene to medication administration, domestic duties to food preparation and even supporting with social activities. As a Team leader, you will mentor and coach our care assistants during their probationary period and beyond. You will observe the practice of staff who have just finished their induction training and support them to develop their skills and knowledge. You will have that balance of office life and care assistant life, you will be out in the community ensuring that our customers receive the right care, at the right time, and in the right way, whilst being mentored and trained to enable you to support the office team. Your working week will probably be working predominantly out in the field, with 1 day per week assigned to office duties, you will also have on-call duties, which will be one evening per week and one in every 4 weekends. The ideal Team leader will have the following attributes: Caring and compassionate- Professional and trustworthy- Excellent timekeeping- Reliable- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality within health and social care- Flexible approach to working- Excellent teamwork skills- Great organisational skills An overview of the Team Leader role and your duties: Supporting the office team with medication and task observations Mentor and coach probationary care assistants Act as a sign poster for staff queries, ensuring that they get the right answer from the right person Provide on-call support Start new customers and ensure paperwork is up to standard Provide safe care to our customers, ensuring they receive the highest level of care possible Take part in staff and customer meetings and give advice when needed Auditing care notes This list is not exhaustive, you may be asked to carry out additional duties. Desirable Qualifications of our Team Leader NVQ 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent Proven supervisory experience in domiciliary care Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and healthcare professionals Experience in developing and implementing care plans Proficiency in IT systems to maintain records and communicate effectively Why choose Bluebird Care?
