Electrical Estimator Location: Wolverhampton (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: Up to £65,000 (depending on experience) We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Estimator to join their growing team based in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Preference will be given to candidates with Rail and Commercial Electrical project experience. This is a great opportunity to join an established £20m turnover business, working on large-scale projects typically valued between £1m and £5m. Hybrid working is available, with standard working hours of 45 hours per week. Key responsibilities include: Preparing detailed cost estimates based on specifications and technical documentation Conducting risk analysis, value engineering, and cost-saving reviews Collaborating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and the commercial team Supporting the full tendering process, from bid submission to client presentation Maintaining current knowledge of materials, market rates, and construction techniques Assisting with post-tender negotiations and project handovers You'll be reporting directly to the Director, working alongside 1 Estimator, 1 QS, 1 Admin, 1 CAD Technician, and 4 Contracts/Project Managers. Qualifications and experience required: City & Guilds 2382 - 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (or later) City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing (or equivalent) Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team Flexible attitude to meet project deadlines Desirable: Experience in both electrical and mechanical estimating Rail and Commercial Electrical project experience Familiarity with Ensign or Trimble estimating software Experience working in ISO-accredited environments Why join?
