We are seeking a proactive and innovative IT Systems Engineer to spearhead the management and evolution of the IT infrastructure for one of our clients. Reporting to the CIO, this key role will drive the execution of the organizations IT strategy while collaborating with diverse teams, including technical staff, developers, and external partners.
Core Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver ERP projects from inception through implementation and go-live phases.
* Engage and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive strategic alignment and project momentum.
* Conduct thorough requirement gathering and oversee system discovery processes.
* Design, implement, and maintain IT systems and networks to meet organizational needs.
* Manage integration efforts for IT applications while ensuring seamless functionality.
* Monitor and enhance IT service performance using defined KPIs and SLAs.
* Develop and present service delivery reports for executive review.
* Ensure system security, data protection, and adherence to licensing regulations.
* Manage hardware and software procurement to optimize cost-effectiveness.
* Provide secure remote access for users and address technical crises swiftly.
* Train and mentor IT staff, fostering skill development and operational excellence.
* Oversee system upgrades, reliability testing, and implementation of backup protocols.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices.
Working Conditions
* Based on-site Chigwell, Essex, IG6
* Standard hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
* Extensive travel within the UK to support subsidiaries.
Key Skills and Abilities
* Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Proficiency in business support software and IT frameworks such as ITIL, Scrum, or Prince 2.
* Exceptional project management, resource planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
* Adept at fostering collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, user-centric IT solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering.
* Proven experience in programming, database management, and remote team coordination.
* Certification in ITIL or similar frameworks is an advantage.
