Job summary We have a new and exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals to join our Cancer Business Unit within our Haematology department as a Clinical Nurse Specialist supporting the patient pathways for Haemoglobinopathies and Non Malignant Blood Disorders. You will be joining an established team of dynamic metastatic CNS's. You will be part of a team that deliver specialist nursing whilst maintaining and developing a quality service. You will act as the patient's advocate maintaining privacy and dignity, and provide advice and support to junior staff and learners in all aspects of the delivery of highquality care. This role will also provide support, advice and education to patients/ significant others in the management of their care. Main duties of the job Substantial nursing experience in Haematology or/and oncology nursing at band 6/7 is preferable. You will need to be flexible, reliable and patient focused. You will work closely with the consultant team in delivering patient centred care. There is a requirement to work between both Derby and Burton sites, however theses posts are predominately RDH (Royal Derby Hospital) based.
