Morgan Hunt are recruiting for a rapidly growing Regulatory Body on a HR Advisor position, home based, or based in Leeds, ideally. This role is paying £35, - £42, dependant on experience for a 9 - 12 month fixed term contract, interviewing in the next 2 weeks and starting ASAP.
Job Summary of the HR Advisor:
This HR Advisor role is sitting within the HR and OD team, reporting into the HRBP and assisting in looking after a directorate of the business for the full HR generalist remit including a focus on ER. It will be to provide a comprehensive, professional, high quality, pro-active and efficient HR customer focused service to the organisation which enables the successful delivery of the Business Plan and HR Strategy to designated services.
A main aim of the role will be to provide specialist HR advice and guidance to employees at all levels on the interpretation and application of Terms and Conditions of Employment for the organisation, Job Evaluations, HR & OD Policies and Procedures.It will be to manage casework e.g. sickness absence management/performance management/disciplinary/capability/grievance/probation.
Main duties of the HR Advisor:
1. Ensure effective communication within the HR&OD team and all departments, to deliver an effective service and, to ensure HR best practice is shared and developed.
2. To advise managers and be involved with all aspects of case management through advising and supporting investigations, formal hearings relating to absence, disciplinary or grievance matters. Associated ability to analyse and interpret complex issues relating to case management in considering the policy framework, organisational precedent, best practice and in order to determine and communicate appropriate course of action.
3. Analyse complex HR issues in relation to e.g. Disciplinary action, grievance hearings, interpretation of HR policies and workforce strategies.
4. Monitor sickness absence levels and provide relevant reports and escalations to line managers to ensure that absence is being managed in line with policy.
5. Compile reports for HRBP and directorates on HR activity, highlight and address any areas of concern in addition compile directorate specific reports and attend directorate operational meetings.
6. Advise and support line managers on producing clear, concise and fit for purpose job descriptions including the Job Evaluation Framework.
7. Work in partnership with local management and staff-side through the job evaluation process including matching.
Main duties of the HR Advisor:
8. Effective IT, numeracy and data analytical skills with the ability to analyse HR metric data and provide expert analysis and bench marking
9. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and demonstrate a flexible approach to deliver a high quality service with tact and diplomacy
10. Ability to work in a busy pressurised environment; frequently changing priorities to meet conflicting work demands
11. Previous experience of providing HR advice to staff at all levels and supporting Change Management programmes ER cases
