Our client urgently requires a Forklift Driver / Production Operative to work for a local manufacturing role based in Corby.
Hours are Monday to Thursday 07.00-16.00pm and Friday 07.00-15.00pm.
Position: Production Operative.
Reporting to: The Production Manager.
Location: Corby.

As a member of staff you have a responsibility to ensure that you operate in a safe way and in accordance with the company Health and Safety policy at all times. You will be a member of the company Health and Safety committee.
Quality Management System:
The company operates BS EN ISO 9001: 2015. As a member of staff, you have a responsibility to operate in accordance with the quality manual.
Job Purpose
To manufacture the company’s range of products.
Key Tasks:
1. To receive and check raw materials into inventory in line with company procedures, ensuring wherever possible, that they meet the specification required to manufacture.
2. To ensure that raw materials are stored safely at all times.
3. To manufacture customer orders accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with the correct formulation sheets.
4. To ensure that production batches are tested and the results recorded at all times.
5. To ensure that a retained sample is taken from each production batch and that the material is firstly recorded in a register and then stored safely.
6. To ensure that products are packaged correctly, with correct and accurate labels and that application guides are supplied with the product (1 application guide and wet film gauge per 10 containers).
7. To ensure that all machinery, equipment and tools are maintained and kept in good working order at all times.
8. To carry out a quarterly stock take of all raw materials and packaging items as listed on the stock take sheet.
9. To ensure that all areas of the factory, including the production office and stores are kept clean and tidy at all times.
10. To assist the Chemist and other members of the team with new products development and/or testing of existing products.
11. To assist the company by visiting site when requested to deal with complaints, train applicators or apply the company products.
12. To ensure that all areas of the factory, including the production office and stores are kept clean and tidy at all times.
13. To ensure that production is managed safely at all times and that employees are not exposed to any undue health and safety risks within the factory.
14. To photograph each export order once it is loaded on to the vehicle. Care should be taken to ensure that the customer’s name is clearly displayed in the photograph.
Important Note
From time to time you will be required to carry out other duties beyond those set out in this job description.
Additional Tasks
1. To carry out a weekly fire alarm check and record the results of each test.
2. To monitor raw material stock in the solvent-based area, and make the Production Manager aware of any materials that should be re-ordered or materials that are slow/non-moving.
