Required Skills sales business development new business lead generation Job Summary About the Role You will identify and research target potential clients and play a key role in driving business growth. You will be responsible for engaging with high-level decision-makers within medium to large UK businesses to set up meetings and support our sales consultants throughout the sales process. This role is based in Nelson, Lancashire, and will require at 3 days per week in the office as part of a hybrid working policy, with two days spent working from home. Key Responsibilities: Identify and target potential clients through research and outreach activities Engage with business leaders through phone, email, and social media to set up meetings Maintain a consistent level of outreach activity to drive leads and opportunities for the sales team - this isn't boiler room type stuff where we're expecting hundreds of phone calls every day, more like 30, well-researched, well-prepared contact points Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify leads, and provide support throughout the sales process Monitor and track sales activity and results using CRM tools Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in business development Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in CRM and other sales and marketing tools Experience in business development, sales, or a related field would be great, but not essential Experience in the energy management industry is also a plus, but not required Whats on offer: Competitive salary, with bonus and commission structure - very achievable OTE of £40k (inclusive of basic salary), although this number is truly uncapped The opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing industry Hybrid working, two days per week working from home Quarterly team incentives - typically fully expensed day trips to Manchester's finest food establishments Monthly incentives (extra time off, vouchers etc) 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays Early finish on a Friday to get a headstart on the weekend If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role.
