In this new role, you’ll quickly become an established member of the team and take the lead on busting through blocks in our network by using specialised jetting equipment. This is a critical role for Ancala Water Services to ensure we continue with our compliance to regulatory requirements and our commitments to high customer service standards across over 1,000 Ministry of Defence sites (check out the Areas we operate - Ancala Water Services). What You’ll Be Doing: Delivering our reactive and proactive operations and maintenance plans across our wastewater network Inspecting wastewater systems using various technological tools such as CCTV to identify cause and location of blockages Safely using high-pressure water jetting equipment to release blockages in drains, sewers and pipelines Performing low-level fixes and installing ‘cured-in-place pipe’ (CIPP) repairs Communicating effectively with customers to explain the importance and need of the work being carried out in a non-technical way Using mobile IT devices to document your findings such as blockage cause, remedial works undertaken and any further action required What You’ll Bring: Experience of wastewater networks, drainage and high-pressure jetting equipment Plumbing and/or drainage maintenance experience is highly advantageous Good level of IT literacy with mobile devices, software packages, accurate data entry and Microsoft Office A good level of general fitness to allow you to work in confined spaces and in physically demanding environments in all weather conditions Excellent and adaptable communication skills for working with your immediate team, the wider business and with our customers Our ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and if you have been trained in high-pressure water jetting, NRSWA and trailer towing, we would love to hear from you. However, if your certifications have lapsed, we’d still be thrilled to receive your application. You’ll be comfortable working in a field-based role and you’ll enjoy finding fixes to problems that arise as part of your day-to-day role. You’ll be able to think creatively, be solutions-focused and provide excellent customer care, all while contributing positively to the success of your regional team. About you: Due to the nature of sites on which we operate, the successful candidate must: Have lived continuously within the UK for at least the last 5 years Be able to obtain Security Clearance which involves a Criminal Record Check and a full MoD Security Application and associated verification processes Possess a full, valid driving licence and be comfortable driving a van and towing a trailer, though training can be given if required You will be required to attend different sites across your patch and there will be infrequent overnight stays as required Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and Ancala Water Services reserves the right to close the advert earlier than advertised.
