We are supporting our small Chorley based nursery to recruit a TA2 / 3 Room leader to work in the 2 year old's room. This is a full time position 8.30 - 5.30 for 5 days a week. As a Nursery Practitioner you will be dedicated to providing a high level of care and education, ensuring the children receive the best possible play opportunities and experiences. The nursery has recently been rated as good by Ofsted. The staff are proud to provide a caring and safe environment for the children. If you would like to work in a creative, nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment where all children are supported to learn and achieve then we would love to hear from you! It is essential that you have a huge smile on your face and an understanding of how children learn best through play. A love of the outdoors is essential as well!
Key responsibilities:

1. To encourage learning through helping to engage children's learning in play based activities.
2. To observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on children's progress.
3. To understand the roles of parents and carers in children's learning and demonstrate ability to liaise with parents and carers sensitively and effectively.
4. To work both independently and as part of a team. To be flexible in terms of hours/days worked.
5. To work creatively.
6. To demonstrate very good numeracy and literacy skills and promote personal and social development. Please note that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.
Essential Requirements:
7. A willingness to work hard and learn new skills.
8. A genuine interest in working with and supporting children with their learning and development.
9. A team worker, who demonstrates their ability to work collaboratively.
10. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
11. Hard working and adaptable
Desired:
