We are currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team at a college in Cambridge, CB3. Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work in office restaurants, independent schools and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout. We are looking for a positive, honest and reliable employee to join our friendly and hardworking team. We can offer good training and prospects within our team for the right candidate. Support the Head Chef in effective running of daily service, plus preparation for events. Follow Health & Safety procedures and assist with effective management of Food Hygiene standards. Lunch and dinner service in café plus events ranging from buffets, to 5 course dinners, to weddings. As our Junior Chef de Partie, you will: Have excellent people skills Have general knowledge of food hygiene, NVQ level 2 or equivalent Be passionate about food and customer service Have superb culinary skills Have good organisational and communication skills Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a large team Be eligible to work in the UK You will be able to create and develop our dishes and will assist the Chefs in creation of weekly menus. A knowledge and understanding of the important of stock and food wastage is essential.
