About the Role
Join a forward-thinking local authority legal team dedicated to delivering high-quality legal services that positively impact the community. As a Senior Lawyer (Adult Social Care), you will play a key role in advising on complex legal matters and handling a varied caseload.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert legal advice and representation on adult social care matters to Council Members and Officers.
* Lead and manage a diverse caseload, drafting complex legal documents and preparing instructions for Counsel.
* Offer legal guidance on major council projects, ensuring compliance and risk management.
* Represent the Council at meetings, committees, and panels, delivering procedural and constitutional advice.
* Support and mentor junior legal team members, deputising for the Principal Adult Social Care Lawyer as required.
* Keep abreast of legislative changes, case law, and policy updates, delivering training sessions to internal teams.
* Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery

About You
* A Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives
* Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care law
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
