Job overview
We are looking for two dynamic and motivated individuals to join the Chest Unit team. The post holder is responsible for the delivery quality assured diagnostic spirometry services in Bromley. The post holder will be based at Princess Royal University Hospital and provide clinics in the surrounding community GP practices and Oxleas mental health trust sites.
The post-holder will be responsible for independently performing quality assured diagnostic spirometry, exhaled FENO and eCO tests in a community setting.
The post holder will be expected to work and communicate with many healthcare professionals on several sites including Princess Royal University Hospital, GP practices throughout Bromley and Oxleas mental health trust sites.
The post holder will be required to travel to community sites for the following post codes SE9, SE20, BR1, BR2, BR3, BR4, BR5, BR6. The post holder will be reimbursed for the travel expenses retrospectively.
Main duties of the job
* Responsibility for the provision of a quality assured diagnostic spirometry, exhaled FENO and CO testing service with no day to day supervision from a Senior Physiologist.
* Independently performing quality assured baseline spirometry on adults in a community or primary care setting.
* Performing spirometry to assess for reversibility to bronchodilator.
* Required to obtain the ARTP Foundation Certificate in Spirometry.
* Measurement of Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide (FENO).
* Measurement of Exhaled Carbon monoxide (eCO).
* Preparation of reports for spirometry, FENO and eCO results for checking by Senior Respiratory Physiologist.

Education
Essential criteria
* 2 Science 'A' Levels or equivalent.
Desirable criteria
* ARTP Foundation Level Certificate in Spirometry.
