Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Duty & Assessment Team to work full time for Achieving for Children, based in Windsor & Maidenhead.
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £47,798 per annum.
Main duties:
* Holding a mixture of cases including complex cases.
* Investigating complaints of alleged neglect, abuse, or ill-treatment of children, undertaking assessments and, where appropriate, arranging accommodation for children and young people while maintaining appropriate personal/professional boundaries.
* Working with children and young people, families, carers, and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify and express their needs and contribute to service planning.
* Liaising with colleagues in own and other departments and external agencies to gather information relevant to assessment and care planning activities.
* Maintaining an awareness of own professional limitations and knowledge gaps.
* Making effective use of supervision and appraisal as an opportunity to critically reflect on casework and identify learning and development needs to continually improve upon practice and support CPD.
* Demonstrating the standards of proficiency as required by the HCPC in order to maintain registration.
* Working within the organisation’s professional policy and procedures and code of conduct.
* Being passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
Requirements of this Social Worker role:
* A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registered or eligible for registration.
* Good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
