SLB’s Crawley hub is a modern office environment which is the centre of operations for our Geosolutions and Exploration Data teams in Europe. Here we provide high-end geophysical data processing and imaging services to diverse clients from majors and independents to national oil companies. Our operations teams are co-located with our headquarters geophysics group which provides regional support and oversight ensuring rapid technology deployment and high-quality, differentiating customer service. Our UK-based research and engineering teams are also located in Crawley and in Cambridge.
The Crawley-based Geosolutions team at SLB operates within the Digital and Integration division in Europe. Our primary focus is on processing and interpreting seismic data for subsurface exploration and characterization, encompassing marine, ocean-bottom, and terrestrial datasets originating from Europe and various global locations. These data applications extend to the fields of oil & gas, geothermal energy, mining, and carbon storage and new energy.
Job Summary:
The Geosolutions Geophysicist holds a crucial role in project execution and the formulation of solutions to address encountered challenges. Furthermore, this geophysicist actively engages in quality control and quality assurance efforts, aiming to enhance both product quality and client satisfaction.
As a Geosolutions Geophysicist you can expect to create intricate and high-definition representations of the subsurface, involving the processing and imaging of 2D, 3D, and time-lapse seismic data while integrating and collaborating with geologists and reservoir characterization champions.
The position reports to a Project Manager and frequently involves collaboration with an extensive team.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
* Collaborate with a diverse team to provide a high-quality product according to the established schedule.
* Maintain regular communication with customers, offer guidance on processing parameters, build and maintain long-term client relationships.
* Process data using the appropriate technology and software.
* Develop solutions and new workflows to address challenges encountered during processing.
* Develop your experience and scientific critical thinking to establish, construct, and submit processing tasks, analyze outcomes, offer parameter-related suggestions, and propose additional testing if deemed necessary.
* Ensure the precision and effectiveness of all testing and production job sequences through validation.
* Keep abreast of emerging technologies within seismic and non-seismic data processing techniques.
* Participate in accredited professional societies and technical conferences.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the industry.
MSc or PhD in Geophysics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Geology or other related scientific disciplines.
Prospective candidates should possess strong communication skills, have a passion for continuous learning and problem-solving, and thrive in collaborative team environments.
