Responsible for: ensuring that all performance and financial inputs are received on a timely basis and updated on Iceland’s systems. Monitor and manage depot fuel usage, fleet costs and mileage records. Monitor and manage 3rd Party storage stock levels, transport costs and inter depot transfer costs. Support the production of Supply Chain’s weekly and period cost reporting and depot balance sheet reviews.
Part-time role covering 22.5hrs / wk. Flexible with working days / hrs but Mondays & Friday morning are necessary.
Key Accountabilities:
Gain an understanding of the information provided to Iceland by our 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) providers, when it needs to be received by and what files need to be stored and/or updated.
Monitor the performance of our providers in providing accurate timely data to Iceland.
Ensure all relevant files are stored in the correct file locations and the data is updated in Iceland’s financial and performance monitoring files.
Update the weekly financial performance data submitted by our 3PL providers and support the Finance Manager in producing the weekly cost reports working towards being able to independently report Product Supply weekly costs to the business.
Monitor, validate and report to the Finance Manager the cost of 3rd Party storage and haulage costs. Inter depot transfers and other sundry costs such as stock disposal, so the costs can be accurately recorded in Iceland’s records.
Monitor depot vehicle fleet numbers and develop reporting to understand and challenge the number of vehicles used by the depots.
Support the Finance Manager in producing period accounts, budgets and forecasts.
Support the Finance Manager in conducting reviews of Depot charges and balance sheets including attendance at depots to do so.
Support the Finance Manager in maintaining proper cost records relating to strategic projects.
General support and cover for others in the Supply Chain Commercial function.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience/Technical Skills
Excel (Advanced)
Databases & SQL usage an advantage
SAP experience (or other accounting package)
Attention to detail, an enquiring mindset and the ability to work to deadlines
Confidence in communicating with internal and external key stakeholders
Logistics and/or general accounting experience would be an advantage
