We are working with a number of excellent primary schools across South West Wales who are looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teachers and helping children achieve their full potential. Position – Primary School Teaching Assistant
Location – Carmarthen
Hours – Full time, Monday – Friday
Salary - £83.85 daily rate
What We’re Looking For:
* Childcare Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable, but not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm and commitment to supporting children in their learning journey.
* Full-time Commitment: We’re looking for someone who is ready to commit to a full-time role and be a reliable presence in our school community. ️
* A Valid Driver’s Licence: The ability to drive is a must, as you may be required to assist with school trips or travel to other locations for school activities.
* Kind, Patient, and Approachable: Our ideal candidate will have a nurturing and caring approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with children and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons, making it fun and interactive.
* Provide 1:1 support and assist small groups with tailored learning activities.
* Help with classroom management and ensure that students are engaged and focused, and all pupils' needs are met.
* Assist with activities during lunch, break times, and school events.
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
* Assist with the organisation of school activities and events, including trips and extracurricular clubs.
* Be a positive role model for students, promoting good behaviour, respect, and a love for learning.
