We have an exciting opening for a candidate wishing to follow the apprentice route to a career in residential valuation for our busy firm of Valuation Chartered Surveyors. As a dynamic, technical, niche and highly respected provider of valuation services to the Affordable Housing sector, we specialise in producing Red Book valuation for our Registered Provider clients.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, with excellent analytical skills and a keen interest in property. The role is office based although there will be accompanied site visits to inspect development schemes and properties for the purpose of producing valuation reports. The candidate will work with a high level of attention to detail and be happy working in a team and alone. No experience is necessary as day release to study online and full training will be provided, although a positive attitude towards learning and an enthusiastic and professional approach is essential.
The role will be based in our office in Great Barton and we offer a generous salary with excellent employee benefits. Hours of work are 9-5pm with an hour for lunch, and we offer a generous pension and holiday allowance.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in researching property values and collating comparable data, by telephoning estate agents and using online resources.
2. Maintain accurate records and manage data effectively to ensure project compliance.
3. Collaborate with team members on projects and collate necessary documentation.
4. Develop analytical skills through hands-on experience and training opportunities.
Training Route
The initial qualification will be the employer funded Level 3 Surveying Technician for which full support will be given. The entry requirement for the apprenticeship will be five GCSEs at Grade C (4) or higher including Maths and English or a Level 2 apprenticeship in a construction or property related discipline.
The Level 3 Surveying Technician apprenticeship can lead onto the employer funded Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Apprenticeship Degree course. For candidates with A-levels and a minimum of 96 UCAS tariff points, entry to the Level 6 Chartered Surveyor Degree course is possible.
