Food & Beverage Assistant required for our client - a prestigious hotel located in the Kingsbridge, Devon area. IMMEDIATE START.
The ideal candidate for this role will have previous food and beverage service experience from within a hotel or from within a standalone restaurant/bar ideally.
This role requires you to work as part of a team to provide exceptional service and smooth delivery of service. This is a hands-on role working shifts 5 over 7. (Part-time hours available if you live locally).
As Food & Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests enjoy a memorable dining experience in the prestigious restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To lay the table as specified by the Bar standards.
2. To welcome guests and take food and drink orders as specified within the allocated food service times.
3. To communicate orders to the kitchen clearly and efficiently.
4. To deliver meals to tables with correct cutlery and offer accompaniments.
5. To clear tables upon completion of the meal and offer desserts/coffees/liquors.
6. To prepare guest bills and present as laid down by management.
7. To familiarise yourself with the wine list to assist and advise guests on their choice and increase sales.
8. To assist with functions, both layup and service.
The salary for this position is £11.44-£12.21/hour, plus a share of the tips and a yearly profit-related bonus. Other benefits are available, including use of the leisure facilities.
Live-in is a possibility. If living out locally, transport would be required, and part-time hours are also available.
