Our client, a Top-tier Legal 500 law firm in Reading is looking to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Real Estate Disputes team. The candidate will provide a high-quality legal service to clients on all aspects of real estate dispute resolution in line with the firm's standards of performance.
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated candidate with Real Estate dispute experience who is used to working independently within a close team.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Provide a high-quality legal service to clients on all aspects of real estate issues arising from land sale and purchase transactions, development agreements, option, and overage provisions, rights of light, restrictive covenants, boundary disputes, and trespassers
* Provide a high-quality legal service to clients on all aspects of Landlord and tenant issues, acting for either landlords or tenants, arising from commercial lease renewals, rent reviews, lease assignment, and subletting, breaches of lease covenants, and recovering possession of commercial and residential premises
* Taking instructions/liaising with clients and managing your caseload
* Supporting and supervising other fee earners in a variety of cases
* Developing and maintaining knowledge on legal issues, working collaboratively with colleagues across the team to share knowledge
* Assist the team in its marketing and business development objectives, including activities such as attending client events
About You
The successful Real Estate Disputes Associate will;
* Have extensive experience as a litigator and advisor
* Have had exposure to the County Court, the Lands Tribunal, and the First Tier Tribunal
* Demonstrate teamwork and relationship-building skills
* Be ambitious and organised with a keen eye for detail
* Use initiative to manage own caseload of files
* Be confident and proactive
