We are looking for a Cook to join our team at Avon View in Christchurch. Avon View is a residential home on the outskirts of Christchurch offering accommodation for 81 clients over 3 floors providing nursing, palliative, residential and dementia care. We work in a person-centred way providing support for people living with complex care needs. Key responsibilities will include: Preparing and cooking meals. Ordering supplies and receiving goods. Ensuring effective stock control. Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Ensuring all kitchen equipment used is kept in efficient working order. The successful candidate should have: An NVQ Level 2 in food preparation or equivalent. Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. A working knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH. Experience of basic kitchen management. Good communication skills. Part-time - 25 hours per week. We are NOT able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
