Teaching Assistant (Special School, Occasional Cover) Level 3 Grade 5
1 Permanent Full Time Position 32.5 hours/week - job reference: PERMTA5
Salary Range: £25,183 to £26,409 per annum starting at £25,183
We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, professional and motivated teaching assistant who is dedicated to the ongoing academic, behavioural and personal development of young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The successful candidate will work as a class TA and provide occasional cover for the Teacher. Candidates need to be physically and emotionally resilient and able to inspire and engage young people.
Starting 3rd February 2025 (or sooner), you will be able to demonstrate that you have the necessary skills and experience of:
* Supporting pupils’ access to learning using appropriate strategies and resources, implementing agreed learning activities/teaching programmes under the direction of the class teacher.
* Working with other staff in planning, evaluating and adjusting learning activities as appropriate.
* Monitoring and evaluating pupils’ responses and progress against action plans through observation and planned recording.
* Providing objective and accurate feedback and reports as required to other staff on pupils’ achievement, progress and other matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.
* Keeping and updating records as agreed with the class teacher, contributing to reviews of systems/records as requested.
* Working with young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, with a good knowledge of SEND and safeguarding legislation.
