Your future duties and responsibilities
As an End-User Computing (EUC) Engineer, you will provide support to staff within the organisation. Your role will involve delivering high-quality technical assistance, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
1. Primary point of contact for users for all IT-related issues.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
3. Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of issues.
4. Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
5. Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
6. Ensure all devices are up-to-date with the latest software updates and security patches.
7. Optimise system performance and reliability to meet the specific needs of users.
8. Provide training and guidance to VIP users on IT systems, software, and best practices.
9. Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials.
10. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, ensuring users' requirements are addressed.
11. Contribute to the planning and implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
12. Track and document incidents and resolutions using the organization's ticketing system.
13. Follow ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
14. Ensure end-user devices comply with the organization's security policies and procedures.
15. Assist in implementing security measures and responding to security incidents.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience in end-user computing or IT support, preferably with experience supporting executive-level users.
• Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, mobile device management (MDM), and remote support tools.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of professionalism and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
Desirable Certifications:
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
