The Forensic Access Group (incorporating Forensic Access, IntaForensics, Alecto Forensics, Analytical Services International and Forensic Testing Services) is a leading provider of forensic science services to the Criminal Justice System.
We are expanding rapidly and looking for an experienced CSI trainer with an in-depth knowledge of CSI training, CSI processes and proficiency testing who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced and fascinating industry.

The Position:
During an exciting period of growth at Forensic Access Group, we are looking to hire a CSI trainer/ proficiency tester to join the existing training team.
The CSI trainer/ Proficiency Tester will be responsible for facilitating and delivering training courses, bespoke training and Proficiency Testing to meet Law Enforcement needs not limited to:
* Preparing inputs / room prep / practical sessions for training and PT
* Conduct tutorials with students during course
* Mark exams and written assessments, peer review and final report production
* When required, organise timetables for courses – rewrite and rearrange inputs where necessary
* Organise, arrange and book external inputs from external consultants/internal scientists
* Check stock for courses including CSI equipment and consumables, sand for footprints etc
* Write final written reports for students/forces after conclusion of course or PT and submit to forces
* Travel to forces across the UK may be required for delivery of PT’s or courses where required.
This role is ideal for someone who has a background in being an operational CSI who has a warm and enthusiastic personality and the ability to talk to anyone and command an audience. The candidate should be organised, effective with a positive outlook and an engaging personality.
CSI Trainer and Proficiency Tester Requirements:
* Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an operational CSI
* Experience in CSI training
* Ideally previous experience in proficiency testing
* Full/Clean driving licence, with the ability to attend PT and training across the UK
* Police clearance to NPPV3, or the ability to qualify for such clearance (5 years’ continuous UK residency, no criminal convictions, no pending criminal convictions)
* Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems
