Technical Manager
Location: Leeds
Salary: £50,000 + benefits
Are you an experienced technical or product specialist with a manufacturing background? Looking for the next step up to a more strategic and influential role?
This job will tick those boxes and more besides.
I'm working for a well-known heating manufacturer that has a solid customer base, rapid growth rate, and a quality reputation.
This new role is all about maintaining that reputation by managing, monitoring, and where necessary improving both product and service performance in the field.
The day-to-day side will see you leading a small support tech team in dealing with issues that are escalated to you from colleagues or customers.
And bigger picture, you'll work with end users, distributors, field engineers, and department heads in-house to identify and address fault trends.
That could mean resolving design or production issues in-house, updating training or guidance for resellers, or advising customers on deploying products correctly.
In other words, you'll be right at the heart of design and manufacturing quality, technical support services, and customer satisfaction… in a brand new role you can make your own.
What are we looking for?
1. Experience as a technical product or support specialist in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment (Heat Pump or Boiler experience is ideal).
2. Strong technical fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret and discuss engineering schematics/issues with technical and non-technical users.
3. Someone who enjoys working with people and is both confident and diplomatic enough to raise potential problems and find solutions.
4. Willing to be office-based, although the company's open to a hybrid arrangement.
Just to be clear, you're not inheriting a mess. This is about having the vigilance and processes in place to maintain high standards in the face of continuing rapid growth.
