Effectively manage and implement indirect strategies for respective commodities in order to support internal stakeholders (Functions, Plant leaders, etc) and overall Grid Solutions Product Lines in meeting their bottom and top line costs out targets. Job Description Essential General Responsibilities: In alignment with the global strategy defined by the Corporate Category Team for centralised commodities, develop and implement the strategy for your own commodity portfolio, which includes both centralized and non-centralized commodities. Regularly engage with internal stakeholders by gathering their requirements, budgets, and forecasts, and organising this information to support the development of a coherent commodity strategy. Guide stakeholders towards the selected supplier panel determined by the Corporate Category Team, define local implementation plans for corporate strategies, and ensure their successful execution. For non-centralised commodities, develop the strategy, identify RFP opportunities, lead negotiations, and create action plans and statements of work. Key responsibilities include: Conduct spend and supplier analysis for each purchasing site, identifying risks (e.g., price increases, monopolies, unfavorable market trends) and opportunities (e.g., consolidating spend, utilizing preferred suppliers, contract expirations, favorable market dynamics). Once opportunities are identified, initiate RFPs with the support of local indirect sourcing teams. Propose alternative or innovative ideas and projects to drive savings (usage reduction, deflation, budget savings) or lower overall spend. Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and contracts (when specific to GE Grid Solutions), along with Statements of Work (SOW) to secure optimal purchasing conditions for the company. Negotiate claims where applicable. Provide market insights to the organization, ensuring business intelligence for the commodity and navigating complex, high-inflation markets, particularly for electricity and natural gas. Scope: The major commodities in scope for indirect spend will include: MRO/Consumables Others: To be determined (TBD) The scope of commodities covered may be adjusted, reduced, or expanded based on business needs. Qualifications / Requirements: Master's degree in Sourcing, Business, or Engineering. Extensive and demonstrated years of experience in sourcing or supply chain functions. Experience in Indirect Sourcing. Preferred experience with key commodities within scope. Excellent competence in sourcing analysis. Proven track record in contract negotiations and execution. Ability to define and implement sourcing strategies. Fluency in English. Exceptional numerical and data management skills. Experience with Lean management practices. Business Understanding: A great understanding of international business and sourcing practices. Good knowledge of the company's operations and the local marketplace.
