We are excited to advertise the post of Therapy Store Co-ordinator based at the Royal Derby Hospital. You will work within the excellent Therapy Stores Team including the Therapy Store Supervisor and Level 2 Inpatient Therapy team. This role is key in the maintenance of stored Therapy equipment and delivery of issued equipment to patients across the Royal Derby Hospital and across UHDB sites.
The successful candidate would have excellent communications and co-ordination skills engaging with our external equipment providers, Therapists and patients. The role will support a seamless provision of equipment from our equipment partners to our peripheral equipment store an ultimately through to our service users. In doing so you'll be tasked with ensuring the quality and safe provision of Therapy equipment in line with Therapy assessments and prescription. This role in turn is pivotal in supporting patients equipment needs and the timely discharge of patients from the hospital setting.
You will be directly responsible for the receipt, checking and storage of goods received into the Therapy Equipment Store as well as the dispatch of equipment out across to requesting departments.
A key role of the post is the entering of requisition data into the electronic equipment system on behalf of Therapy staff within the trust involving the handling and inputting of confidential patient data.
You will be required to second check equipment at point of supply for safety and suitability for issue.
The post holder will be required to place regular and timely equipment orders that replenishes and maintains stock for therapy issue to patients. The role is also key in the receiving of stock on delivery days and transferring of equipment to the main store.
The maintenance of stock control is required by auditing volume of equipment used and balancing stock in and out responding to variations in demand.
The occasional collection and/or delivery of urgently required stock from the supplier’s depot, LRCH or patient homes is required. This involves driving the therapy department pool car and holding a driving licence is required for role.
