Ipswich Borough Council operate various sports sites across the town, we are looking for hard working, organised and motivated individuals to join the team.
The job will require evening and weekend working – you will need to be able to adapt to different tasks in what can be a fast moving busy environment. You will be responsible for the setting up / down of equipment, cleaning and various other tasks with tight deadlines to enable customers to enjoy their sessions in a safe and clean environment.
You may also be covering children’s parties, so a happy, cheerful mentality is a must.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the team with the efficient day-to-day operation of our sports and leisure facilities to ensure our customers can be more active in a safe and customer focused environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Set-up and set-down of activity equipment
2. Customer enquiries
3. Supervision of children’s activities
4. Cleaning duties
The post holder will be required to work a shift pattern, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
There are 3 vacancies available. The hours available are:
1. Saturday 10.30-18.30 (7.5 hours) at Gainsborough Sports Centre
2. Saturday 10.30-18.30 (7.5 hours) at Whitton Sports Centre
3. Sunday 08.30-18.30 (9.5 hours) at Whitton Sports Centre
GCSE in Maths & English is required. DBS clearance is required for this role.
