We’re seeking two full-time Funeral Assistants to join our team.

We have two vacancies for permanent full-time Funeral Assistants based at our prestigious premises in Northfield, Rubery & Cotteridge, Birmingham. These positions are physically demanding but have an extremely rewarding salary package and bring immense job satisfaction too – the letters and cards of appreciation we receive from our clients are testimony to this – you’ll be helping our fantastic team to care for those we serve and making a difficult time memorable for all the right reasons.
* Full-time, Permanent
* From £29,370.00 per year
* Working from our Northfield Premises, B31 2JT
* Transferring those who have died into our care from varying locations
* Preparation and cleaning of vehicles for funerals
* Workshop duties including the preparation of coffins and caskets in readiness for funerals
* Mortuary duties – preparation, presentation and care of the deceased
* Support all ceremonial aspects on Funerals as a Chauffeur and Pall Bearer
* Assisting with our hire funeral vehicle side of the business, taking our classic fleet across the UK
* Delivering and collecting relevant documentation to and from various locations
* Assisting the Funeral Coordinator and Management Team to ensure the smooth running of the business

If you can answer YES to all these questions, then you could be the person we’re looking for.
We would need you to:
* Participate in an “on-call” rota to ensure our 24-hour transfer into our care service – you should reside within a maximum 25 minutes travelling time of Northfield to meet this requirement (on call is paid as additional payment)
* Hold a clean current UK driving licence (manual)
* Consent to DBS checks as required
