About The Role
Brize Meadow Lodge, Miles Drive, Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire OX18 1NZ
Please note that this is a part-time role working 17.5 hours per week.
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do.
Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
As an Activities Co-ordinator at Brize Meadow Lodge, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents, as well as help the Home Manager organize essential fundraising events. You will give our Residents the confidence to socialize, work on new activity ideas based on their hobbies, and involve the care home team, all with a sense of kindness.
We are looking for someone with a background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. You should possess positive energy and a natural ability to connect with people. Great planning, organizational, and IT skills are essential, along with effective time management. Whenever you communicate with a Resident or co-worker, you will be considerate and kind.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and it is important to recognize the signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to act on concerns. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training in related areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
