About the team… Our Transaction Tax team help buyers and sellers optimise their tax position and manage tax risks arising on their transactions. Offering structuring and tax due diligence services and working closely with our corporate finance and transaction services team, as well as external advisors. In what can be complex, stressful and fast paced situations, the team provides invaluable support and significant value to individuals and businesses undertaking transactions. The team is spread across our offices in the Midlands and London and looking to increase the team in both locations as well as expanding into the North West. About the day to day… As a Transaction Tax Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of tax due diligence and TT advisory services in respect of a diverse range of targets and clients. You’ll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including; Actively managing complex tax due diligence, structuring and advisory projects Leading on some calls, particularly regular/recurring project update calls and or presenting findings to clients which are based on previously provided written advice Undertaking a “review” not “do” role. Delegate and review junior members prior to seeking senior sign off Running bolt-on and standard due diligence projects with autonomy and starting to take on more complex projects with increasing involvement Assist senior members of the team with VDD reviews and more complex structuring and advisory projects One of the main points of contact for clients on projects, collaborating with clients to address tax related queries or concerns Prepare sound tax advice using tax technical knowledge on a range of projects Contribute to the development and improvement of our ways of working alongside senior members of the team. Potential to manage a team of trainees or Assistant Managers - coaching and supporting the juniors to help with their technical and professional development The role will also be designed to help you grow and develop through your career journey.
