We have an exciting opportunity for an Event & Groups Sales Manager to join our dynamic Event sales team at Shangri-La The Shard, London.
Under the guidance of the Director of Groups and Events, theEvent & Groups Sales Managerwill oversee all aspects of catering events, from negotiation to seamless execution, maximizing revenue opportunities within your designated area. This role involves close collaboration with clients and team members, proactive sales activity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences that align with Shangri-Las high standards.
Who are we?
We are Shangri-La The Shard, London, the first elevated luxury hotel in the city, set within Western Europes tallest building. Our hotel spans levels 34 to 52 of The Shard and offers breathtaking views across Londons skyline. With 202 luxurious rooms and suites, world-class dining venues, an infinity pool, and three unique river-facing event spaces, we create unforgettable experiences for our guests. Our location provides easy access to iconic landmarks such as Tate Modern, Borough Market, and St. Pauls Cathedral, placing you in the heart of Londons historic and vibrant atmosphere.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with a positive and welcoming approach and a true passion for luxury hospitality. The ideal candidate will have:
Two years experience in a similar role, with a strong background in sales and event coordination
A track record in a sales environment and a results-driven mindset
Flexibility with working hours, accommodating the varied schedule of events
Proficiency in various computer systems and the ability to adapt to new platforms
You will have:
An immaculate appearance that reflects our high standards
Oral and written fluency in English
Motivation as a self-starter and a positive attitude
