If you have a passion for both farm and equine, want a varied workday and to work in the Lincolnshire Wolds (AONB), get in touch! As I am both a vet and the practice manager/director, the practice is run in a way sympathetic to the challenges being a vet can present.
Opened in December 2023, we are a growing independent farm and equine practice. With the nearest beach half an hour away, plenty of countryside, and situated a 40-minute drive from Lincoln, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your downtime.
Our office manager schedules the diary and leaves ample time for travel and admin. Since starting the practice, we pride ourselves on adding a personal touch to large animal veterinary care and maintaining a positive work environment. The split is approximately 60:40 of equine:farm, with most farm clients being beef, sheep, or smallholder. Our client base is generally easy-going and exceptionally lovely.
Full-time hours are 9 am - 5:30 pm (no good reason to start earlier than 9, I say!) 4 days a week with one on-call night a week and one on-call weekend a month. Sensible things like lunch breaks scheduled into the diary, TOIL for any (rare) late finishes, and excellent equipment to work with are a given.
Ideal Candidate: At least 2 years’ experience and competent sole charge for most first opinion farm and equine emergencies. Less experience considered for the right candidate.
Salary: Full-time salary £40-55k DOE.
Benefits: RCVS & VDS fees and BEVA membership paid for. CPD days and budget pro rata.
