Description The Royal Institute of International Affairs is an independent policy institute based in London. Our mission is to help build a sustainably secure, prosperous, and just world through improvement in international relations. The US and Canada Programme at Chatham House undertakes original research and convening using an interdisciplinary approach drawing expertise from its core team, an international network of associate fellows and colleagues across the institute. This is a pivotal time to lead the programme as it analyses the global implications of the policies of President Donald Trump’s second administration on issues including trade and the global economy, transatlantic relations, climate change, and security challenges in Europe, the Indo-Pacific, and the Middle East. We seek an established leader to build on the programme’s powerful reputation and expertise to increase our influence and impact as the world responds to the changing U.S. role in the world, and what it means for the future of international order. This is an outstanding opportunity for an authoritative, imaginative, and policy-oriented expert to be a key member of the institute and to develop and lead a high-profile, high-impact research team. We are an equal opportunity employer; we value diversity and do not discriminate on the basis of protected characteristics. We encourage applications from all backgrounds.
