Hays are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager - Architect/Interior/Facilities Design to join our client on a short-term contract assignment (possible Extension).
The Network Facilities Project Manager is the local market expert on all Retailer Design, Buildings & Equipment guidelines, responsible for ensuring that all Retailer Sales and Service new build and refurbishment projects meet all elements of Brand Standards, Showroom design and comply with contractual Retail Standards to support the achievement of the BMW Group’s Retail Transformation strategy called Retail. Next, this introduces a whole new customer experience focused on Corporate Showroom design which is being rolled out to the UK Retailer Network.
Your new role
* Act as the centre of competence on our Client’s Brand Standard Buildings & Equipment guidance, both Sales and Service. Provide start-to-finish support to retailers on their facilities projects, including input into design development proposals, brand signage guidance, internal furniture, fittings & fixtures guidance and the forecasted costs.
* Manage the implementation of new Brand Standards including architecture, ICS (furniture) and OCS (brand signage) concepts. In conjunction with the Network Standards Manager, adapt the centrally provided concept materials to best suit the UK market to meet the brand and retail standards.
* The Retail transformation strategy will require a design site plan for each Retailer / Agent’s new showroom identity roll-out to ensure our network’s facilities are optimised and each site is ready to meet the customer-experience-focussed requirements of our businesses in the future.
* Influence commercial decisions across the network providing advice to Retailers on how to the 'right-size' and 'right-cost' projects to ensure the best possible value for money for the Retailer whilst still complying with Brand and Retail Standards.
* Develop, update and report on the milestone status of all projects, including the financial budget, and provide measurement and status reporting to all key stakeholders including our client on the progress and costs on all projects.
* Manage communication and relationships across all levels within the Retailer Network, from Investors/Owners to Heads of Business and Property Directors. Adapt the communication approach according to the audience. Influence retailers and their processes through consultation and robust plans.
* Provide advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders on all areas under the key accountabilities including Retailer Network, third party suppliers.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree level qualifications.
* Proven project management skills.
* Strong planning and commercial analysis.
* Automotive experience beneficial.
* Ideally, a Retailer or Retailer facing experience within the Automotive Industry.
* Ideally, design experience or experience of brand standards management.

Base Location: Farnborough, UK. (Candidates should be based within a reasonable commute)
Assignment type: 6 months (Strong possibility of extension)
Working environment: Hybrid working (MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO MULTIPLE LOCATIONS)
Hours per week: 37.5
Pay rate: £250 - £450 (Dependent on Experience)
