Join a successful and growing main contractor based in Sussex. As the main contractor, they deliver projects up to £15 million, primarily serving the Sussex, Surrey and London areas. Projects typically involve commercial, education and facade remediation schemes.They tend to operate under JCT contracts, both Design and Build and traditional. This is an ambitious company with continual growth plans. Currently circa £20m turnover they plan to grow to £40m in the next 4 years. As the Lead Estimator you will have a big part to play in this sustained growth.
Role Overview:
As the Lead Estimator, you will report directly to the Directors and work alongside other estimators. You will independently manage enquiries and convert them into secured contracts with confirmed start dates. Engaging closely with customers, you will understand their brief and create successful bids,. Suitable candidates will have an in depth understanding of the wider pre-construction stages, bid preparation, key milestone, early programmes, supply chain research and development etc.

Work with internal teams to price projects, prepare high quality bids, mitigate risks, develop programmes, value engineering...
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in the UK as a client facing construction estimator.
*
To be able to demonstrate the ability to lead successful bids with a medium to large main contractor.
*
Experience working at the front end of the construction process with job estimation.
*
Experience pricing £5m+ jobs in a variety of sectors.
*
A willingness to visit sites throughout the South East as required.
