Role Name And Description Transfer Pricing Manager - As a Transfer Pricing Manager, you'll thoroughly and accurately analyze information, apply economic/financial knowledge to client situations and develop effective approaches to clients' financial circumstances. Subsequently, you'll take a lead in developing recommendations and implementation plans. You'll also develop and deliver transfer pricing and economic ideas with timely, responsive services/work products, and identify opportunities for transfer pricing and other special services. Operational Transfer Pricing (OTP) / Intercompany Effectiveness (“ICE”) is a service offering that focuses on the effective and efficient execution of pricing of intercompany transactions across the intercompany life cycle (price setting, transacting, monitoring/adjusting, and documenting). The ICE offering is identified as one of our growth areas withing our Transfer Pricing sub-service line. With increased demand across all regions, we have an immediate need to grow our team. EY’s Intercompany Effectiveness team uses a scalable and standard methodology method to assess a company’s current challenges, design and build processes, policies, enabling technology and operating models to improve the intercompany transactions that are used in other business processes such as statutory reporting, tax provision and compliance. The Intercompany Effectiveness service offering focuses on all elements of an operating model for intercompany transactions (e.g., processes, controls, organizational design, data and technology). Job Summary: We seeking someone interested in joining the ICE team who has an interest in cross-teaming with our clients across all business stakeholder teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, and Tax Leadership) to help enable companies to record their intercompany transactions efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with regulatory and local tax laws. EY works with Global companies that are improving their operating model around intercompany transactions in a variety of locations around the world. Your Key Responsibilities Assist/Manage projects independently from blueprint to go-live by applying project management techniques as well as technical and business knowledge to ensure that high-quality results are obtained for all our clients Prepare and help facilitate meetings with the clients to understand their intercompany business processes including transfer pricing Support operation of complex transfer pricing process, including review of Transfer pricing calculation outputs executed to ensure they meet the needs Create an intercompany matrix leveraging documentation and financial information (e.g., trial balance) Document or review and edit documented business requirements to communicate data, configuration, and reporting requirements Design and build reporting solutions or scenario models for reporting and analytics Create user testing plans, testing scripts, and expected results and conduct testing Ability to help design the definition of an Intercompany COE (e.g., roles, responsibilities) Ability to define future state intercompany and transfer pricing processes Ability to design and implement internal controls for intercompany and transfer pricing processes Ability to document, review, and delivery training Design and build reporting solutions or scenario models for reporting and analytics Transfer price analysis and reporting Work with the Tech team to implement process and automation system Be able to give product trainings to clients Command over the subject and working knowledge of other subjects to initiate/ engage in conversation with the client Driving and delivering significant projects that result from expansions into new markets, business changes or to ensure compliance with legislative changes Proven experience of a similar tax or finance role requiring analysis of P&L, including cost allocation, or operational transfer pricing Familiarity with product costing (3rd party and intercompany). Project Management Skill Sets Prepare workplans (estimates of hours, duration of timing, and levels) Prepare budget-to-actuals and manage project economics Create and delivery status reporting (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly, etc.). Additional Skill Set Proven experience of working with and reviewing outputs of complex financial systems and processes within a strong control environment Strong understanding of accounting and economic concepts and proven track record of delivery of significant projects Strong ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills as the candidate would be required to communicate progress and the project status to supervisors/ reporting Managers and Stakeholders Locate and define new process improvement opportunities Advanced excel skills and strong command on MS Power point and other skills like Power Pivot and Power Query will be useful. Display general knowledge of engagement “big picture” Understanding master data (e.g., entity codes, chart of account, materials, product groups, cost centers, etc.) Experience with calculation and/or posting journal entries for intercompany transactions Experience with intercompany accounting (e.g., receivable/payable reconciliation, profit elimination, etc.) Knowledge of the modules in the ERP landscape and how they are used / support intercompany transaction analysis. Experience defining user requirements for intercompany transactions for products, services, and IP related intercompany transactions (e.g., what is needed to setup each transaction) Experience participating in the implementation of an ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365), etc. with specific experience providing requirements for the configuration, reporting and testing of intercompany transactions. Experience designing reports to be built through ERP applications or 3rd party tools in support of financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements To qualify for the role, you must have One or more of the following: an advanced degree in economics, law, finance, tax or accounting; a CPA or similar certification MBA/CA with 6-8 years of experience in the field of Transfer Pricing/ Operational Transfer Pricing, or experience in the field of Finance & Accounting.
