Cover Supervisor Location: Stockton Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary Salary: £85- £100 Start Date: April 2025 About Us: We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in education or who is passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey. Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes when teachers are absent, ensuring that students are engaged with the set work and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Your key responsibilities will include managing student behaviour, providing support where necessary, and ensuring that students remain on task throughout the lesson. Key Responsibilities: Supervise students across various subjects during teacher absence. Ensure students stay on task and complete the work set by the class teacher. Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom dynamics in line with the school’s policies. Assist students with their learning, providing guidance where necessary. Provide feedback to teachers regarding student engagement and any issues faced during lessons. Follow safeguarding and health and safety protocols to ensure a safe and productive environment. Support students with additional learning needs and ensure an inclusive atmosphere. Who We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting (but not essential). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff. Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively and fairly. Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Enthusiasm for helping students achieve their potential.
