A day in the life of a Murphy Business Development Lead Develop Murphy’s brand and reputation, improving the external awareness of Murphy’s unique capabilities to position it as the contractor of choice in line with business plans and being the recognised market expert. Translating changes and developments into opportunities for Murphy and monitoring competitor activity and responding where needed. Co-ordinate the business planning and strategy process within the business unit, ensuring there are clear plans with follow up mechanisms in place. Working with key business areas including; Work Winning team to develop and implement sales strategy within the market to achieve improved quality of earnings, Commercial and finance teams to challenge existing and new costs to ensure full understanding & transparency of costings for the business. Pre construction team, working with Designers to identify upcoming for both our Strategic Clients and emerging sectors. Assist in the smooth hand over to mobilisation and operational teams. Keep all relevant stakeholders informed as opportunities progress through the procurement cycle, production of Board reports etc. Drive growth in market share, identifying and engaging with new target clients. Regular meetings with contacts with clear agendas and outputs. Proactively identify and develop cross selling opportunities propositions across the rest of Murphy Work with the Sector to identify potential acquisitions which remove leakage/open up new markets within the Transportation sector supporting organic growth and retention of current contracts. Lead the Gateway 1 Work winning process & work closely with work winning in the development of key materials & project case studies. Use CRM to capture all sales opportunities, and proactively use the Dashboards to examine pipeline strength, velocity, win/loss metrics etc. Still Interested, does this sounds like you?
