The Role This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team within the Asset Management Investment Operations function (COO), where you will support the analysis of parameters applied within our daily unit pricing and the fund information shared with our customers. You will work closely with other areas from across the business, delivering changes to our fund ranges that are both internally and market led. As the Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for managing a variety of Unit Linked and With Profit processes, with an emphasis on the ASTM1 (actuarial assumptions and methodology) delivery related to our Annual Projection Rates. You will also be responsible for BAU processes surrounding Asset Allocations, Fund Distributions, Fund Charges, and Investment Returns amongst others. You will support the identification of operational risks and play a major role in carrying out continuous improvements on our process/proposition developments. Working to deadlines you will support and guide members of the team to successfully deliver ‘business as usual’ tasks/project changes, in adherence with our risk and control frameworks. Key Responsibilities Processes / Operational: Responsible for implementation and oversight of processes whilst analysing and validating outputs of automated and outsourced functions in an accurate manner ensuring deadlines are met and appropriate audit trails are maintained Ensure operational risks are effectively managed within the team and that processing timelines are met. Challenging and questioning the status quo within Investment Operations and in other related areas effectively to suggest and support continual improvements and developments for the delivery of department and business objectives. Collaboration: Develop and manage relationships with colleagues at all levels, providing support and technical guidance to ensure successful delivery of objectives and the ability to tackle work across own and other business areas with confidence. Understanding the key activities/responsibilities of teams within the Investment Operations area to effectively represent the area on projects/at meetings and understand the wider impact of proposals etc. - be an advocate of the wider area. Carry out ad hoc requests or investigations, providing technical support to other business areas (internal and external) and effectively communicating the results to a range of stakeholders. Analysis: Analysing information accurately and efficiently and being able to communicate with and motivate others - including senior managers to deliver. Design, deliver review and enhance high quality management information for the unit linked business. Technical Information: Assimilating complex and detailed technical information to present in a clear, understandable and persuasive way, to a variety of audiences including senior staff and cross-divisional/external stakeholders. What are we looking for? Minimum Criteria (Essential) A proven track record in the Financial Services industry, with an understanding of Unit Linked / Investment Fund Operations Technical proficiency; Microsoft Excel advanced level skills i.e. proficiency in VBA is beneficial, alongside experience of SQL, PL/SQL (programming language) Demonstrated stakeholder management and wider team collaboration skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences Takes initiative and knowledge of business processes to solve problems and identify risks We want to hire the whole version of you.
