Laboratory Assistant - Temporary Position

Summary:
1. Job Title: Laboratory Assistant
2. Location: Nottingham City Hospital
3. Contract Type: Temporary
4. Contract Length: 6 months
5. Working Pattern: Full Time
6. Hourly Rate: £13.80
7. Start Date: 2nd December 2024
8. End Date: 5th May 2025
9. Driving Required: No
Responsibilities:
1. Clean GMP clean rooms and laboratories
2. Maintain stock levels of consumables
3. Ensure adherence to ADR regulations for the shipment of dangerous goods
4. Liaise with couriers and customers to ensure timely deliveries
5. Prepare regulatory documentation and containers for shipment
6. Align operational processes and backup capabilities across sites
7. Operate cyclotron particle accelerator
8. Provide administrative support as needed
Essential Requirements:
1. Flexible approach to work, including weekends
2. Strong communication skills and customer service experience
3. Previous experience in a GMP pharmaceutical production facility
Desirable Skills:
1. Experience in the shipment of dangerous goods (training provided)
2. Experience working with radiation compliance and health and safety regulations
3. Knowledge of cGMP and ADR regulations
4. Experience with PET (Positron Emission Tomography) radiopharmaceuticals
