Sales Engineer
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Salary: £40-50k
Benefits: 25 days Holiday, pension, on-site parking
Job Purpose:
Manage key customer accounts, find new business opportunities, and handle the process from quoting to order completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with key customers.
2. New Business Development: Seek out new customers and opportunities.
3. Quoting & Estimating: Handle customer inquiries and provide cost estimates.
4. Customer Service: Ensure smooth communication and support throughout the sales process.
5. Order Management: Enter and manage sales and works orders in the system.
6. Updates & Reporting: Keep customers updated and provide regular reports to the Managing Director.
7. Sales Forecasting: Predict and monitor sales performance against targets.
8. Market Insight: Share customer and market knowledge to inform business strategies.
9. Marketing Support: Contribute to marketing efforts.
10. Quality Management: Ensure compliance with the company's quality standards.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proactive and forward-thinking.
2. Accurate with paperwork and systems.
3. Strong communication and time-management skills.
4. Able to work under pressure and solve problems.
5. Experience in aerospace or technical manufacturing (preferred).
