Sheridan Maine are seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant on behalf of a well-known organisation in Bournemouth. This role involves providing critical financial insights to support decision-making, managing budgets, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
1. Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
2. Analyse variances and provide commentary on financial performance.
3. Assist in preparing statutory accounts and liaise with auditors.
4. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with departmental heads.
5. Monitor performance against budgets and identify areas for improvement.
6. Manage cash flow forecasts.
7. Provide financial support to key stakeholders, offering insights to drive strategic decisions.
8. Develop strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment on financial goals.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
2. Proficiency in financial systems and software.
3. Intermediate Excel skills.
4. Demonstrable experience in management accounting, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
5. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
