Job Description
1. Inputting purchase ledger invoices onto the database for authorisation.
2. Processing invoices onto the system after authorisation and accurate Nominal Coding.
3. Reconciling supplier statements prior to BACS/Cheque runs.
4. Processing supplier payments.
5. Assisting with month-end closing.
6. Providing supportive assistance to other members of the accounting team as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger should have:
1. A degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
5. Strong organisational and time management skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
