We are currently looking for hard working, enthusiastic and friendly people with a Diploma in ODP NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds 752 or a 1st Level Nurse with a current anaesthetic competency certificate to join our fast-paced Acute Theatre Suite.
All applicants must be a member of UK HCPC or UK NMC register.
Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service and will include shift and weekend work and rotational nights as required.
Our vision is to have a multi-skilled workforce with rotation through Anaesthetics/Recovery and Scrub duties as qualifications/experience allows.
We offer wide and varied surgical specialities to include Maxillo Facial, ENT, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Trauma, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Urology and Paediatrics, covering Elective and Emergency procedures in all the aforementioned specialities.
We currently have specialities that use Robotic Assisted Surgical Technology, this is a relatively new innovation within NHS Fife and envisioned to evolve over time.
We provide a comprehensive anaesthetic assistant service which includes the operating theatres as well as outlying areas such as the Emergency Department resuscitation area, ECT unit, Community Dental Unit, and Interventional Radiology as and when required.
The Fife Elective Orthopaedic Centre is a National Treatment Centre of Excellence which opened Spring of 2023 and hosts 3 Theatres.
You should possess excellent communication skills, have the ability to work cohesively within the multidisciplinary team and have evidence of continuing professional development.
Our department is supported by 1 full time and 2 part time Clinical Educators as well as a part time Education Coordinator.
Theatres can be an intense fast-paced environment with a team working ethos being at the heart of the service we provide.
