As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for the full cycle Health & Safety and Sustainability efforts to support across the business. You will be driving and implementing strategies and continuous improvement, work on extended projects and ensure that compliance is conforming to legislation. The HSE Manager will lead from the front, providing guidance and support to functions across the business. You will be the primary point of contact for all health, safety, and environmental issues, responsible for developing and promoting a strong safety and learning culture within the company. Environmental, Health and Safety Manager Job Benefits: Competitive salary 8:30am 5pm 37.5 hours per week Annual Bonus Scheme Up to 33 days holiday including bank holidays Company pension scheme Health cash plan Training and development Free On-site Parking Close to amenities and motorway road links Environmental, Health and Safety Manager Job Duties: Champion a safe working environment ensuring that all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to Develop and implement policies and procedures Adhering to Legal Compliance related to EHS matters and updating management on new legislation Lead investigations, record and report on all accidents Drive EHS training and communication throughout the site, planning, and providing relevant inductions and training courses for employees and contractors Establish safety audits, site walks and inspections which encourage a process of ongoing improvement in environmental and safety standards Design and implement environmental management systems Manage and continuously improve ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditations Establish a comprehensive program of risk assessments for all operational activities including the documentation and training needs Provide reports for senior management on current safety initiatives Ensure the health & safety of all personnel through management of risk assessment programmes Maintain and ensure the application of HSE policies and procedures in line with company requirements and legislative changes Work closely with other departments to ensure procedural compliance Lead Health & Safety meetings and the election of Health & Safety representatives Liaise effectively with regulatory authorities on all environmental and health & safety issues Any other duties as required Environmental, Health and Safety Manager Person Specification: Bachelors degree in environmental safety, occupational Safety and Health, or equivalent experience NEBOSH General Diploma qualification or equivalent Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is desired A comprehensive knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation is essential Experience of carrying out and documenting risk assessments and environmental management is essential Training of accident and incident investigating and reporting is essential Competent in writing safe work procedures and completing risk assessments Excellent communication skills both written and oral Understanding and experience of COSHH is essential An in-depth knowledge of regulations Ability to work alone and manage own workload Strong time management skills A passion for good health, safety and environmental culture A flexible attitude due to the varying day to day requirements Ability to work at senior level effecting change, but also hands on, overalls donned, working with the team solving problems and educating For more information, get in touch by sending your CV to T&K Associates today
