The Company:
My client is looking for a Service Engineer to join their team. The role will include global travel to countries in Europe and time spent on site (or work from home). The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and commissioning new machinery, refurbishing and retooling installed machines and developing client relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
* Install and commission machinery on customer sites following drawings, manufacturer's instructions and customer specifications, utilising knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical machinery.
* Carry out clear and concise demonstrations of machines to customers.
* Train and coach customer personnel on maintaining, adjusting and repairing equipment/machinery.
* Fault-find and diagnose equipment set-up and process issues; undertake troubleshooting on customer sites and internally.
* Work on equipment/machinery refurbishments, re-tools and refits where
necessary.
* Document all work, plus fault finding and diagnostics.
* Gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for promoting additional services/spare part sales etc. when working at customer sites.
Requirements:
Engineering qualifications/Apprenticeship
Machine tools knowledge
Willing and able to travel for extended periods of time (up to 4 weeks)
Driving licence (preferred)
